Introduction
NCC unit was established in the year 1973 July with the 65 students strength under the guidance of Ex Late Principal N. P.V. Subramanian , Late M.C. Advitot Chairman of Akkalkot Education Society, Late M.I. Bajul Secretary and Commanding officer Maj. K.S. Sobali, 9 Mah. Bn. NCC Solapur, from July 1974. The youth of the Akkalkot Tahsil those who are learning in the college are imparting Army Training such as discipline, unity, leadership etc.
The interest and the achievement of the cadets are remarkable. Apart from army training various social work were undertaken by our unit along with NGO’s such as Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Pulse Polio, AIDS Awareness, Area Cleaning Activities, Yoga Day Cancer Awareness Rally Aids Awareness Rally Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, Guest Lecture programs etc.
Our unit has achieved excellent records in Republic Day Parade, Thal Shainik Camp, Annual Training Camp, and Various adventure activities. Cadets of this unit were participated and stand first Ex. Officer Raju Rathod has established a new record in obstacle in TSC at New Delhi. In Annual Training camp our unit stood first in drill, Cultural, Obstacle, Volleyball, Blood Donation etc. activities organized during the camp.
NCC Motto
The Motto of the NCC is ‘Unity and Discipline’ which was adopted on 23 Dec 1957. In living up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of our nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of our country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of our nation.
Aims
The aims of NCC as approved by MOD in Mar 2001 are as under:-
1. To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular Outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
2. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation.
3. To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

NCC cadet of C. B. Khedag,s B. Sci., R. V. Comm. and R. J. Arts College Akkalkot institutional training for the year 2017-2018 concerned from 15th July 2017 with the enrollment of 98 cadets. Institutional training started as usual July 20th during which a wide range of subjects were covered. Including military subjects like Drill, Weapon Training, Map Reading, Field Craft, as well subject like First –Aids, Posture Training, Disaster Management etc. During this year cadets participated in various activities and brought laurels to the college.
1. Social Service Activities:
C. B. Khedag,s B. Sci., R. V. Comm. and R. J. Arts College Akkalkot NCC Cadet participated in Paryavaran Diwas, RED RIBBON EXPRESS (Aids Awareness Rally), Pulse- Polio, Ganesh Emersion and Navaratra Mahaustav, Election Duty to assist the Traffic Police for controlling traffic and public. Cadet also participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. 35 Cadet participated in Republic Day Parade at Fattesinh Ground with Police troop.
2. Camps:

1. SUO: Ijare Yegappa Revanshiddha Awarded Best Troop Leader.
2. JUO: Waghmode Dhuloba Balu Awarded Best Junior Under Officer.
3. Sgt. Jamadar Sanket Shiddaram Awarded best Cadet.
3. Certificate Examinations Result:
1. “B” Certificate Examination Result (2014): 93.75 %
2. “C” Certificate Examination Result (2014): 78.57 %
