Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Objectives

Introduction

The College IQAC (previously as steering committee) was established in July 1999 to sustain and enhance all quality efforts for the institute. Now it is an integral part of Academic and Administrative activities. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) laid the onus of quality enhancement of college on the IQAC. The operation and working of the IQAC has become vitally important and critical thinking making policy and implementation is essential.

Objectives

  • To develop a system for consistent improvement in the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote the quality of teaching program which will be multi dimensional and accessible.
  • To facilitate access to information for all stakeholders

Functions

  1. Development of Internal Quality Assurance System for application of quality bench marks / parameters for academic and administrative activities.
  2. Development of learner centric approach to promote participatory learning for enhancement of quality education.
  3. Creation of research environment for faculty and students to fulfill the goals of higher education.
  4. Development of feedback mechanism from students, alumina, parents and other stakeholders on quality related issues of the institution.
  5. Preparation of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for the submission to NAAC.
