History Department
The subject History was introduced at U.G. level in the college in year 1970. Taking into consideration the need and demand of students, the Department was opened in June 1972. In the beginning 18 students took admission for this special subject.

Departmental Activity
a) Department was organized one day National Conference on 8th February 2018.In our college “Feminist and Gender Studies in Global perspective with interdisciplinary Approach†National Conference was organized on 8/02/2018 for this conference 120 participated took part and total 85 papers were presented and published in ISSN. No. 2393-8900 with Impact Factor 1.9152 journals Historicity. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Vijay Marulkar from SNDT Women’s University Mumbai delivered Key note address and Hon. Shri Shivasharnji Khedgis presided over the function. There were three sessions in which the through discussions were taken place on feminist and gender studies. In valedictory function the chief guest was Prin. Dr Sopanrao Jawale, Sou. Suvarnlata Gandhi Mahavidyalaya Vairag. The National conference was grand successful. The Prin. Of the college Dr .S.C. Adavitot guided the function and the Head of the Department History, Shri V.J. Andhare was convener of the conference who thanked the participants. Shri K.D. Thore and Dr. C.D. Kamble were anchors.
