BCA Department

In August-2007 honourable chairman Shri.Shivsharan Khedgi decided that we should do something different for our rural students those who are away from I.T. Education. With this purpose the Education Society opened the branch of B.C.A. Akalkot Education Society’s B.C.A. department is working successfully not only in Akalkot taluka but also in Solapur district. Many students are taking the benefit of I.T. education in this wing which is dream for them. The infrastructure of this college is well planned and well equipped. The concerning staff of this college is competent and well qualified. They are always ready to help students for their problems. The B.C.A. lab consists of PC’s ,lap-top, L.C.D. projector, decent colour scheme with feature wall , internet facility, library and other necessities. The Spoken English classes are arranged for those students who are poor in communicative English and for personality development classes are also running, overall activities from this department which is going to be held for the students is absolutely supportive.

Internal Evaluation System Adopted

Apart from the University Examinations the Department has adopted continuous Internal Evaluation system which helps to get feedback from the students. For this the Department conducts periodical Tests, Unit wise Class Tests, Mid – term Examinations, Group Discussions, Class – seminars etc.

Teaching Plan

Every faculty member prepares Topic wise/ Unit wise teaching plan at the beginning of the Academic year and tries to act upon it.

  1. The Department organizes sightseeing Tours and Excursions.
  2. Periodical class seminars are organized throughout the semester wise.
  3. Students are inspired for writing articles, Software Project and other creative writings for college magazine.
  4. Guest lectures are arranged for students.
  5. Seminars, Workshops, Conferences attended the faculty during the last five years.
